Dear Self, I’m so glad that you decided to take a vacation, even if it cost a lot of money and you had to buy new tires. You needed it and it definitely did you a lot of good. Dear God, You showed up this week. At the concert, at home, at church… I felt Your presence more this past week than I have in a while. Dear Alyssa, thank you so much for letting me come home with you! It was amazing. Dear Work, you kinda sucked this week. BUT we got to order Chili’s take out AND all of us girls that were left working got to have some good bonding time, which was great. Dear Heart, I am trying very hard to keep you guarded. You got a little thrown off this week, but prayer has gotten you through. Dear Emily, I’m so happy that I got to see you last night and that we got to do a little late birthday celebrating. Dancing and music and laughter was just what I needed. And thank you to all of my wonderful dance partners! Y’all were awesome! Dear Monday, treat me well. I’m really not at all prepared for you and it’d be great if you could just take it easy tomorrow. K? Thanks.
Dear Friends, dinner at Cheddars on Friday night was so much fun! I really wish that I got to see y’all more often! Dear Hockey, I actually really enjoyed watching you Saturday night. I never realized how intense you are and I think that I will definitely go to more games next season. Dear Jeri, keep your chin up. God is going to pull you and your family through this. I know that it’s so hard right now, but God allows things like this to happen for a reason. Dear Pastor and Wife, y’all are so wonderful. I was so surprised when you bought me lunch after church on Sunday. You’re such a blessing in my life. Dear Eleara and Amarissa, y’all are a mess. But still the cutest twins I know. Hopefully the more that I babysit you the less you will scream when mommy and daddy leave the house. Dear Alyssa, you’re the best. Dear God, I want to be closer to You. Today was the first time in months that I woke up and really wanted to read my bible and get into the word. I’m making progress, lets keep this up.
Dear Self, I don’t really think that “thunky” is even a word…but the other half of me still thinks it sounds cool! Dear Alyssa, you have grown so much over the past two and a half years. It is so great to see God working in your life and teaching you new things. Dear Hannah, you have a very wonderful boyfriend indeed. I am so happy that he is yours, and I’m thankful I can call him a good friend. Dear Jenna, we’re not sure what all is going on with you, but we’re praying for you and we hope to see you moving back in soon! Dear Work Friends, you all are seriously such a blessing to me. I’ve only known y’all for three weeks and I’ve fallen in love with every single one of you!
This semester is going to be such a good one!
Dear Jaclyn, I absolutely LOVED having coffee/lunch with you today. You are such a blessing in my life and I always enjoy our conversations. Dear Barista, thank you so much for paying for our lunch and coffee. You didn’t have to do that, but you did anyways. It was so unexpected and so nice of you! Dear Dadjy, thank you for helping me out these past couple of months and for helping me get back on my feet financially as I was between jobs. You didn’t have to do it, but you did and I appreciate it. Dear Momma, I miss you so much. UGH it kills me.
Dear Florida, it’s the middle of winter and you are just as hot and humid as ever. I guess some things never change. Dear Whoever Hacked My Facebook and Email, I do believe I know who you are. And I want you to know that you are childish and immature. It’s been 4 years, get over it already. Dear Jacob, you are so good to me. I am praying for you and the things I know you are struggling with. I’m praying for growth for both of us and our relationship in the years to come. I love you. Dear Car, lets not make me sick tomorrow, kay? Dear Destiny, I am soooo excited to see you tomorrow!! Distance cannot keep best friends apart!
